Leading commercial law firm Mincoffs Solicitors is proud to confirm its sponsorship of The Northern Rock Cyclone for the fifth year running.

As part of the ever-popular Leazes Criteriums, the firm will be the main sponsor for the Elite Race taking place on Friday 29^th June 2012.  Held at Newcastle’s Leazers Park, the Elite Race attracts thousands of cycling fans to watch action from amateur and youth races to international cycling stars as they race around the tight circuit.

Based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Mincoffs has been providing a full range of legal services to industry, commerce, public sector and private individuals for over 60 years.  It has always played an active part in the community particularly around sporting related activities including most recently, sponsorship of RGS and the Sunshine Run.

At last year’s Northern Rock Cyclone, Mincoffs Solicitors Partner and Head of Employment Nick Smith presented the prize to Alex Dowsett from Sky Pro Cycling who was overall winner in the Points Competition.

Nick said: “The North East plays host to some fantastic annual sporting events and The Northern Rock Cyclone is certainly one of them.

“There is a great buzz around the place in the build-up to an event such as this when we’re able to show off our regional assets nationally and internationally.

“I’m delighted we’re able to play a part in The Northern Rock Cyclone again this year, building on our involvement from last year.”
