Leaked sensitive data from the Ashley Madison ‘adultery website’ has reportedly prompted the first divorce case…

Details of more than 33 million accounts have been stolen from the ‘Ashley Madison’ website, a webpage which offers its users the chance to have an affair, which has meant the details of over 1 million people in the UK alone can now be traced on the internet.

It is thought that this will inevitably lead to a number of divorces in the UK and around the world.

Although membership of a dating website is not in itself proof of adultery, it may provide sufficient grounds for a spouse to pursue a Divorce on the grounds of ‘unreasonable behaviour’ if they consider that the ‘membership’ is intolerable.
