County Durham Pharmacy sold23/09/2020
Sherburn Village Pharmacy has been owned since 2001 by Mr John and Mrs Julie Parkinson, who decided to sell to pursue other ventures.
The pharmacy’s new owner is first-time buyer Peter Slowey, who has entered a partnership with experienced operator, Ray Mackie of East Boldon Village Pharmacy Limited.
Peter, who will run the pharmacy hands-on, comments, “We are pleased to have acquired a pharmacy with so much potential and are looking forward to forging links with the local community. We hope to build upon Julie and John’s success over the last 18 years by fully engaging with advanced and private services.”
Karl Clezy, Director of Medical at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, comments, “The pharmacy generated interest very quickly when first placed on the market. The trading performance was very impressive over the last few years, which helped attract several offers.”
Chris Hughes from Mincoffs’ healthcare team led the transaction on behalf of the sellers. “It was a pleasure to act for John and Julie on the sale of Sherburn Village Pharmacy and I wish them the best of luck for the future.”
