Mincoffs Family law consultant, Lyn Rutherford, has received the title of ‘Senior Statesperson’ in the 2020 Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession.

Rutherford, who has over 40 years’ experience in family law, is ‘a highly experienced and skilled specialist in matrimonial finance’ and is praised by clients for being ‘highly able’ and having ‘extremely good judgement’. One client added ‘it is not surprising he’s a sought after specialist’.

The ‘Senior Statesperson’ category recognises lawyers who no longer work hands-on with the same intensity but who, by virtue of close links with major clients, remain pivotal to the firm’s success.

Associate family law solicitor, Emily Cannell, was also recognised in the guide as an ‘Associate to Watch’, a distinction which is given to senior associates who are recognised for their work in the background of major deals. Emily was praised for being ‘well versed in divorce and financial proceedings, often with significant property assets at stake’. She was also recognised as a ‘Rising Star’ in the recent Legal 500 directory for her expertise in complex matrimonial cases.
