Mincoffs were recently instructed by Tyne Tees Entertainment Limited in relation to multiple gaming applications. The instructions involved the variation of the company’s Operating Licence, with the Gambling Commission, as well as premise licence applications with the local authority.

These applications came at a very busy time. The Gambling Commission is currently dealing with a high volume of on line gambling applications, as well as contentious bingo applications.  Mincoffs were able to address all issues raised and successfully obtain the applications required.

Following the applications the premises is now open for trading using machine based bingo equipment which links remotely to other sites in the UK. George Caris director of Tyne Tees Entertainment Limited said “we have always provided prize bingo at our sites so a movement into cash bingo seemed like a natural progression. Working in partnership with Mincoffs Solicitors we feel that this new development will be a great success.”

This is a complicated legal area, in which Mincoffs has a great deal of experience. Partner and Head of Licensing and Gaming at Mincoffs Solicitors Matt Foster said; “we were delighted to obtain the licences required, which created a number of additional jobs at the premises”.
