Mincoffs third most active deal maker in the North East

The most active legal advisers in the North East during the first half of 2018 have been revealed by information services giant Experian MarketIQ.

Mincoffs ranked 3rd in the legal adviser rankings in terms of deal volume after working on 14 qualifying transactions during the period.  The corporate team at Mincoffs is recognised as being among the most trusted corporate advisers in the region, as highlighted in the Legal 500 which hailed them as the “go-to team in the North” for “premium” corporate advice.

The volume and value of deals struck in the North East in the first half of 2018 soared to their highest levels since 2009.  The North East region recorded 129 deals worth a total of £2.3bn during the period; 29% higher than the 100 reported in the first half of 2017. Values also jumped by 234%.

According to Experian, the numbers are the highest first-half figures recorded in the North East in nine years, topped only by 2017’s second-half volume of 130 and 2011’s second-half value of £6.3bn.

The latest set of figures franks law firms based on merger and acquisition deals over the value of £500,000.
