Mincoffs’ ‘well regarded’ Technology team praised in Chambers guide

Mincoffs Solicitors experienced and ‘well-regarded’ technology team has been recognised in the top rankings for Information Technology in the 2020 Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession.

The team, which was recently recognised as ‘stand out’ in the Legal 500 directory, was praised by Chambers for its work with start-ups and SMEs and it’s ‘significant experience’ in the gaming and telecoms sectors, and with data and contracts matters for clients working with cloud services and robotics.

Clients praised the technology team for finding ‘the best legal and technical solutions’ and for being ‘very knowledgeable’ and ‘inspiring confidence’. Work highlights for the team included advising Perfect Image, a North East base IT consultancy, on managed service agreements with corporate customers and associated data security issues.

Head of the technology team Antony Hall, also ranks as a ‘band 1’ lawyer and was praised as ‘a consummate technology lawyer’. Clients referred to Ant as ‘easy to work with, commercially minded and clear in his expectations’. Antony was also commended in the guide for his work with Intellectual Property (IP) for his work with contentious copyright in the media and video gaming spheres.

The impressive rankings come the week after the technology team was commended in the Legal 500 2020 for their work in IP, IT and Media and Entertainment. Antony Hall was recognised as a ‘Leading Individual’ and ‘stand out partner’ in Intellectual Property for his expertise in franchising and licensing work particularly in the technology, gaming and digital media industries. Associate solicitor and IT specialist, David Cox, was named a ‘Next Generation Partner’ for his knowledge of the sector.
