Raising a glass to Lixir Drinks

A bartending duo who poured their expertise into their very own premium drinks brand are celebrating a huge financial boost from investors.

Lixir Drinks has gone from strength to strength since it was launched in 2018 by friends Matt Mahatme and Jordan Palmer and is now stocked in venues across the UK and overseas.

And the brand, which was founded in the North East and is now based in London, has plans to expand further after receiving a £1.1m investment in April, led by Newcastle-based Mincoffs Solicitors’ corporate team.

Lixir experienced growth of 160 percent over the last year and found favour with a range of new investors and backers, including founder of Pure Gym, Peter Roberts, and former commercial director of Pernod Ricard, Chris Ellis.

Known for its low sugar, low calorie tonics and mixers and commitment to sustainability, the brand boasts an array of flavours such as rhubarb and ginger, pink grapefruit, blood orange and cinnamon, and elderflower and lemon.

Co-founder Jordan Palmer believes the funding will help the business reach the next stage.

“This investment will be really pivotal for us in terms of scaling the brand and growing our team, so that we can bring Lixir Drinks to as many consumers as possible,” he said.

“Mincoffs Solicitors were fantastic throughout the whole process and made sure we were kept informed every step of the way.”
