Mincoffs is celebrating new roles for two of its team, following the successful completion of their business administration apprenticeships.
Isla Turnbull has joined the marketing team as a marketing assistant, while Jenny Spark is set to join the real estate team as a legal secretary in September.
Both Jenny and Isla credit the apprenticeship scheme with giving them valuable professional experience and insight into the legal industry, alongside the opportunity to build confidence and develop skills such as time management, communication and responsibility.
“After leaving school and beginning my apprenticeship, I was unsure of my long-term career path”, said Isla. “However, during my time so far at Mincoffs I have been able to identify the areas I enjoy and gain valuable insight into where I see myself in 10 years’ time.
“The support staff at the firm also provided guidance by hosting regular catch-up meetings to discuss my progression within the firm and my personal career goals.
“I have had a very positive experience at Mincoffs so far and I am grateful to be part of an organisation that values its staff and is committed to supporting their growth and development.”
Jenny said: “From the beginning, I have felt supported by the firm, which provided me with opportunities to learn in a positive office environment and to develop my confidence within a professional setting.
“I also appreciate the variety of work across different departments, which has expanded my perspective and helped me better understand where my interests lie.

“Being trusted with tasks has helped me build confidence and understand what is expected in a law firm day to day, therefore I feel assured moving into my next role at Mincoffs.”
As Isla and Jenny move elsewhere in the business, the team has also welcomed Dami Carew and Jack Lynass who have begun business administration apprenticeships with the firm.
Both Jack and Dami bring previous hospitality and retail experience to their new roles and will work closely with the admin and HR team to ensure the smooth running of the business, alongside greeting and assisting clients when spending time on reception.
“I decided to move into an apprenticeship route as I believe it is a great way to develop your career while both learning and earning a wage,” said Jack. “I decided to choose Mincoffs as it is a great company to work for and I believe you can gain a lot of great connections working for a law firm.
“Throughout the course of my apprenticeship, I hope to be able to develop further myself in the business to hopefully go into a different role.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Mincoffs so far and I look forward to the future.”
Dami said: “What attracted me to Mincoffs is the pathway for career growth, which is important for me, as I am quite ambitious and aspirational.
“Alongside the qualification, I’d like to gain some overall confidence in my abilities, relevant experience in the corporate world, and the opportunity for professional development.
“My experience so far at Mincoffs has been good, I am still trying to get out of my shell a bit and be more open, but apart from that, I’ve found it really useful and educational.”
Mincoffs has an established pattern of supporting apprentices in developing their skills and passions to progress elsewhere in the firm.
Other members of staff who began their careers with a business administration apprenticeship include accounts assistant Shaun Topham, digital marketing executive Chelzi Graham, paralegal Tamsin Mennell, conveyancing assistant Jane Ashworth, and conveyancer Stacey Nellist.
