Mincoffs Solicitors has thrown its support behind a North East rugby star as he marks an illustrious career milestone.
The firm is sponsoring Michael Young’s testimonial year, celebrating his achievements and success throughout an impressive rugby career – which has seen him make more than 200 appearances for the Newcastle Falcons.
His testimonial year will feature exciting events, including a dinner with football legend Alan Shearer, a pre-Lions dinner with some of the greatest British and Irish Lions of all times, and a unique golf day. These events aim to bring together the local community and celebrate Michael’s remarkable career and dedication to rugby.
Alongside the Newcastle club, the professional rugby union player has represented England at the international level with England Sevens and England Saxons, and played for top clubs including the Leicester Tigers, Bath, Gloucester and Toulon.
Mincoffs will be providing corporate and commercial support to Michael across his testimonial year, which includes 12 months of events in aid of his chosen charities, My Name’5 Doddie and the Alan Shearer Foundation.
My Name’5 Doddie funds research into effective treatments for motor neuron disease, while the Alan Shearer Foundation directly supports the Alan Shearer Centre in Newcastle – providing vital services for people with disabilities.
Michael said: “I’m very excited with what’s to come over the next year and I’m hugely grateful for Newcastle Falcons awarding me the testimonial.
“I massively appreciate the support shown from Mincoffs already and I’m really looking forward to working with them moving forward.”
