Newcastle law firm Mincoffs Solicitors has recently diversified its offering by launching Level 2 Personal Licence Holder training from its training centre in Jesmond as well as venues in Sunderland and Durham.

The one day course is designed for anyone wishing to gain a licence in order to sell alcohol on their premises and is particularly relevant for those working in bars, pubs, night clubs, casinos, restaurants, convenience stores and off-licences, sports and social clubs, leisure parks and entertainment establishments.

The programme will be delivered on behalf of Mincoffs Solicitors by consultant Tim Robson, a retired police sergeant in the Durham constabulary, with 30 years of experience in licensing law.  Tim is a recognised speaker at regional conference and a North Eastern representative for National Pubwatch.

Tim said ‘I see it as a very exciting opportunity and I am very proud to deliver training in conjunction with such a well-established law firm’.

Licensing Partner at Mincoffs, Matt Foster said ‘Having assisted clients in the licensing trade since our inception in 1948, it is a natural progression for us to offer licensing training.  We are delighted to launch this training programme with Tim’.

The Advanced Personal Licence Holder course costs £120 + VAT and includes tuition, a course handbook, lunch and refreshments as well as the exam plus one free resit.

There are also plans to offer a Level 2 Award in Underage Sales and Prevention, premises audits and bespoke licensing training packages.
