Jess Nicholson

Jess graduated from Newcastle University in 2019 with a first-class honours degree in law, and thereafter completed the Legal Practice Course at Northumbria University in which she achieved a distinction. Jess qualified as a solicitor in September 2022 having trained at a prominent commercial law firm in York and joined the family team at Mincoffs as a solicitor in June 2023.

Jess advises clients in a wide range of family-related matters, including:

• Advising and supporting clients going through a relationship breakdown, including divorce and associated financial settlements, and property disputes when non-married couples separate.
• Disputes in relation to arrangements for children.
• Wealth-protection matters, such as preparing nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements and separation agreements.

As a member of Resolution, Jess is committed to taking a collaborative and constructive approach to cases in an effort to resolve matters in a way that is least stressful for her clients. She prides herself on her empathetic and supportive approach with clients and ensures her advice is both practical and digestible so that her clients understand the legalities every step of the way.
