Mincoffs Training are fully accredited to deliver Personal Licence Holder (APLH) training in Newcastle, Sunderland, Chester-le-Street, Durham and Middlesbrough and various other locations across the North East of England.
The Personal License Holders (APLH) training course covers all topics required to achieve the necessary qualification to apply for a personal licence and is aimed at those working within the retail sale of alcohol.
This one day course is a legal requirement for anyone wishing to sell or authorise the sale of alcohol by retail. An application for a personal licence requires the applicant to gain the Award for Personal Licence Holders qualification in England and Wales.

- Premises Licences and Club Premises Certificates
- Licensing Objectives
- Powers of Enforcement and Offences
- Temporary Events Notices
- Responsibility in Alcohol Retailing
Courses can be delivered at Mincoffs Training Centre in Newcastle upon Tyne or at one of our North East satellite centres in Durham, Chester-le-Street, Sunderland and Middlesbrough. Subject to numbers, we can also deliver training at your premises. Please enquire for further details.

The cost of the HABC Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders (APLH) full day training course is £140 + VAT, including course materials and an exam. We can provide a light lunch and refreshments. A free resit of the exam is available if required.
For an additional £150 plus VAT, we can also apply for your personal licence. Please note, this fee does not include the application fee (£37) or a criminal record check. If you notify us in advance of the training, we can complete the forms when you attend your training course.
