If your own your home jointly, so both your names are on the property ownership documents you will usually be entitled to half of the value of the property unless you entered into an agreement saying otherwise at the time the property was purchased or subsequently.
If your partner owns your home in their sole name you won’t usually have any claim to the home unless you have contributed financially such as to renovation works.
