Equal Pay

Equal pay means that employees are legally entitled to be paid the same as colleagues of the opposite sex who are in the same employment and undertaking:

  • Work that is the same or broadly similar
  • Work rated as equivalent under an analytical job evaluation
  • Work that is different but of equal value in terms of demands

Pay discrimination can affect salary, benefits and bonus payments.

If you wish to bring an unequal pay claim against your employer, it is wise to seek expert legal advice first.
