The Licensing Act provides that responsible authorities or other persons can object to applications if they are able to submit relevant representations in regards to the likely effect of that application on the licensing objectives.
Sometimes as an objector, you may feel that an application is being submitted which is not appropriate for an area, or you are happy with the application but would like to see if modified in terms of its hours or conditions. Where you identify those concerns, we can be of assistance in securing changes on your behalf, as long as we are instructed during the application period.
If you would like to speak to an expert Licensing solicitor about a possible licensing opposition, call 0191 281 6151 or email Matt Foster, Head of Licensing and Gaming on mfoster@mincoffs.co.uk
